SQUEE! I love this book so much! This might just be my favorite book (so far) in the Hope Town Series and I'm already looking forward for the next one!

The story is about Shane and Nikki, which we previously read briefly in the previous book as they are the best friend of Ember and Nate. They have mutual friends who are married, and they got tangled with each other because of the ex-situation on both sides that made them  decide to use each other to fend off their exes! Nikki is a teacher, and Shane co-owns the Dirty Dog bar with Nate (the hero of the previous book). I love how they are together, the dynamic between the two, I just LOVE Shane.

It started as a night of fun, which turned into more since they have such COMBUSTILE connection that you will just love! However, they have to overcome some hangups and issues that formed from their past relationships, and the journey to being together is so sweet.

This has got to be the HOTTEST Hope Town book so far. Shane is just SO HOT. There are BDSM theme in this book, very light dominant type of relationship that works for them both. I love it, it's so romantic. Can't wait to read about Shane's sister next (I'm hoping)!

I dived into this series knowing I willl love everything that Laurelin Paige writes.. but I am still blown away by how much I love her writing style, her characters, and her plot line. Everything about this series; I LOVE!

This book is the continuation of Sabrina Lind and Donovan Kincaid's story that begun in Dirty Filthy Rich Boys (Prologue novella). There are secrets in the Dirty Filthy Rich Men that we discovered right at the end of the book, and this book dived right in. I have to say, Sabrina is one of my favorite heroine that Laurelin has written, with a lot of emotional baggage and complication. I love how Sabrina and Donovan is, how their love story is all about acceptance and being able to truly wholeheartedly love someone despite their flaws. I. Just. Love. This. Book!

Donovan is a very mysterious character for me, but I love him more than I love Sabrina in this book (I think. LOL.). They are just bound to be with each other right from the start of the journey in more ways than one, and I love how the mysteries unfold in this book. Donovan is unapologetical villain, and I love that about him. We get to see another side of Donovan in this book too, the uncertain, not-so-self-assured side of him

I would definitely recommend this book if you're looking for an erotic romance that's darker.. or just a romance lover in general.

REVIEW: Can't Hardly Breathe by Gena Showalter

Wow!! It's been a long time since I dived into Gena Showalter's The Original Heartbreakers Series, but I love this book!

The story is about Dorothea, the owner and keeper of the local inn who has been crushing on Daniel Porter since high school. Dorothea was bullied for her looks and appearance in high school, which did a number on her self-esteem. At the time, she was crushing on the clueless and oblivious 'playboy' Daniel whom is nice to her but still didn't see her for who she really is. She was really heartbroken and closed herself off after that. Daniel is your typical bad-boy hero, in a sense that he likes no strings attached and never goes with the same girl more than twice. He's had a thing for Dorothea, but something is keeping him from pursuing her and Dorothea's refusal to be another one of his 'companion' is making him more intrigued towards her.

They both are very likable characters that I just can't get enough of! Dorothea is very sassy, cute, and her internal monologue is just funny and entertaining. Daniel is a very adorable hot guy that you just can't help but love as the book progresses.

This book has a slow-burn type of feel to it, but it is such a great book with funny banter, great storyline, and sexy steamy scenes (REALLY STEAMY). I love this series so much, and I will have a re-read to refresh my memories more on the previous characters. Overall, a great entertaining read!

REVIEW: The Clover Chapel by Devney Perry

OMG!! OMG! New favorite book this year for sure! Once again Devney Perry, you took my heart away!

So this is the 2nd standalone in the inter-connected series (which I love this type of books!) in the Jamison Valley series. I love this second installment because it has EVERYTHING I normally love in a book. Insta-love type of thing without being cheesy, groveling second chance romance, and a time apart between the hero and heroine.. AND it's set in a small town! I love small town romances, they are more profound in a way because of the tight-knit community.

The story is about Emmeline and Nick who met each other 9 years ago in a night of Vegas whirlwind and in a spur of the moment, they got married. However, in the morning Emmeline finds herself abandoned with Nick with just a note and no other explanation.. Fast forward 9 years later, Emmeline is in a great place doing something she genuinely loves doing which is teaching, and is being offered to take a job at a 1st grade in a small town. She leaves New York (and her boyfriend, so they are doing the long-distance relationship), and tries to chase her dream.

Upon teaching, she gets to know the townies and is being invited to one of the Halloween party, and that's when she meets Nick. You guys, when they first saw each other I can totally feel their pain, astonishment, and wonder.. Nick, at first you will doubt him because he doesn't really grovel at first, just sort of decided he wants Emmy back, but then you understand where he is coming from and you will root for them to be together! I seriously love this book so much!

To be honest, even though the writing style is very different, I feel like fans of Kristen Ashley books will love this series, because of the swoony alpha-type romances that I know fans of KA will just love!

REVIEW: Ruckus by L.J. Shen

OH MY GOD.. I AM STILL ON A BOOK HANGOVER! I just finished reading this book, and I can't stop thinking about it! It's the best L.J. Shen book I've read so far (and I've read plenty!) and it made me want to know more about one more remaining HotHoles who doesn't have his story yet (hint: Trent).

This book literally has EVERYTHING. It is very angsty, hot, sizzling, yet it's funny too. At times, it is heartbreaking, but I love every page of this book I can't help but just devour it! I am seriously on a Dean hangover here.. I need more of Dean and Rosie, please please!

We met Rosie and Dean in Vicious, and let me tell you, there's A LOT going on between that we don't know about when Dean was first with Emilia. I love Dean and how he is very sure of what he wants, his feelings for Rosie, and how they came to be. He is very sweet (in his own way) and I just can't help but swoon everytime he is with Rosie. We get to see another side of him we didn't realize before.. but I love love love this!

"It's not my fault you fell in love with a dying girl."

"It's not my fault you made it fucking impossible not to." 

Of course, there is the problem of Rosie's health, since it is stated since the beginning of the book she does have CF (cystic fibrosis) and her life span is only probably one more decade. There are a lot of things that she can't do, and we get to see how Dean is very much helping her with her condition and he is very caring about it.

This book is not just about Rosie's sickness, though. Dean has his own problems and demons that he has to face, and at the end when they both have to face it at the same time, will they be able to overcome life and be together?

This book is very much heartbreaking, you will get to a point that you probably will hate Dean, but he is just a very broken character too and you can't help but feel for him too.. I love this book, the ending, the epilogue, EVERYTHING. I want more of Dean and Rosie, and I just can't stop thinking about this book.
