WOW! What. A. Ride! Well done, M.E. Carter, once again you stole my breath away with this one.
So we met Santos and Mariana briefly if you read Groupie, in which their marriage is in shatters. In this book, the author is writing about the aftermath of Santos' betrayals to Mariana and his kids and how this couple overcome them. It is not an easy road, forgiveness was not given lightly, and they both have work cut out for them, but at the end of the day, what's amazing is how they fight for their love and overcome the obstacles to be together.
In this book you also have an extensive explanation of why Santos does what he did with the background story and a profound understanding of his actions. I hate books with cheating heroes/heroines, but this book is unlike any other I've ever read before. It really is enlightening and a different perspective to what marriage books is about, and how both parties can actually work for a future that they want.
I would have given this book a 5 stars but I just hope the author writes an epilogue a few years into their future. Overall, amazing book!
