The latest installment for the Cold Fury series by Sawyer Bennett might just be my new favorite! All of the books in this series are amazing, some are a little bit more angsty and emotional than others, but this one takes the cake and has a little bit of everything.
The story is about Roman Sykora, Cold Fury's own bad boy and Lexi Robertson. They first met when Roman was meeting Gray Brannon (you might know her from Ryker) due to his latest antics and Lexi was meeting her father, Brian Brannon for the first time. Their meet cute at the Cold Fury management office was charming and funny.
Their attraction towards each other made Roman to ask Lexi for a date, which went spectacularly well. However, due to her family's circumstances (Lexi just recently reconnects with them) she doesn't want to jeopardize the weak foundation and chooses to not date Roman for awhile because her half-sister Gray doesn't like him.
I love both of these characters, but Lexi is a heroine that is just so lovable. She's funny, opinionated, content, and an amazing character with many adoring qualities. She is happy with her life how it is and I think what's so amazing about her is she truly wants to connect with her family without the financial gains, which is saying A LOT due to her father being the owner and CEO of Cold Fury.
Another plus from this book is Lexi's father, Brian Brannon that has his own side-story and side-POV with Lexi's boss and coffee shop owner, Georgia. I love their interaction and I honestly wanted to read more from the author because of the fact that Sawyer Bennett REALLY nailed it with the more mature characters and their love and development in this book. Ms. Bennett, please write more of these type of romance in the future! :)
If you think that the 7th book in this series will mean another boring storyline, Sawyer Bennett nailed this book down to a science and I love reading it. Amazing read indeed.
