REVIEW: Only Him by Melanie Harlow

Melanie Harlow is back again with another heartwarming book.. A great romantic read with sweet hero and second chance romance trope, my favorite!

The book is about 29 year old Maren, owner of a yoga studio and her long lost love, Dallas Shepherd. Ever since Dallas left her at sixteen, she was heartbroken and has had a hard time in letting other people in. She hasn’t really had serious relationship ever since. Years later, Dallas showed up again at her doorstep and what was supposed to be a catching up on their life, they developed what they once had. Everything is working out perfectly until the revelation Dallas didn’t tell Maren.

I would have to say this is not my favorite read from Melanie Harlow. I do love her writing, however I just couldn’t really connect with both the hero or the heroine. It seems to me Maren forgives Dallas too easily and Dallas is just not a character that I can understand his reasoning. With that being said, I will state that this is a good read to pass the time, and I like reading the book.

REVIEW: The Problem With Him by Rachel Higginson

OMG! This series by Rachel Higginson is just EVERYTHING! I’ve loved reading previous two books and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Kaya and Wyatt’s story!

The story is about Kaya, Wyatt’s sous chef or second in command in the kitchen. They’ve developed and friendship of sorts throughout the years of working together. Kaya is unbelievably attracted to Wyatt, yet she never does anything about it because she thought he hates her. It turns out, the attraction is mutual..

I love Wyatt so much. I feel like even though he’s a silent-cool-growly type of character, he’s the type of hero I prefer in a book just because he says what he wants and shows it. Kaya is a harder character for me to like, just because she is prickly and she has strong self-doubt about herself that I just think unnecessary with how Wyatt’s been treating her. However, to each their own and Wyatt is a close hero for me along with Killian. The first will always be Ezra though! Haha

Anyway, this story not only shows how love can build each other up, but it’s a sweet love story overall in a different setting of chef and restaurant world. I really do like reading it!

REVIEW: Mogul by Katy Evans

Wow! Katy Evans is back with another great read that is swoony, angsty, and very much enjoyable from the very first page!

If you’ve previously read Tycoon, then you’ve met the heroine in this book, Sara. She met the mysterious guy on a taxi on her way to work, and they had such incredible chemistry that she can feel it. It turns out, the guy is none other than a guest at the hotel she’s working as the concierge for. They had a very very steamy one night stand, and left it at that. She left without knowing his name, and no informations were exchanged.

A few weeks later, they both can’t stop thinking about each other and their night together. Their paths cross once again when Sara was supposed to walk her customer’s dog. It turns out, her sexy one night stand is the customer’s grandson!

They reconnected (because hello, chemistry) but circumstances just made it hard for it to be anything more. Will Sara and Ian Ford have a chance to see where it goes, or will their past shortcomings be in the way?

I really love this book. I had a great book hangover after reading this one. It is definitely way hotter than any of Katy Evan’s previous books I’ve read and Sara and Ian are just EVERYTHING! I REALLY WANT MORE OF THEM! Please do yourself a favor and read this book. STAT
