Melanie Harlow is back again with another heartwarming
book.. A great romantic read with sweet hero and second chance romance trope,
my favorite!
The book is about 29 year old Maren, owner of a yoga studio
and her long lost love, Dallas Shepherd. Ever since Dallas left her at sixteen,
she was heartbroken and has had a hard time in letting other people in. She
hasn’t really had serious relationship ever since. Years later, Dallas showed
up again at her doorstep and what was supposed to be a catching up on their
life, they developed what they once had. Everything is working out perfectly
until the revelation Dallas didn’t tell Maren.
I would have to say this is not my favorite read from
Melanie Harlow. I do love her writing, however I just couldn’t really connect
with both the hero or the heroine. It seems to me Maren forgives Dallas too
easily and Dallas is just not a character that I can understand his reasoning.
With that being said, I will state that this is a good read to pass the time, and
I like reading the book.
