REVIEW: From This Moment by Melanie Harlow

WOOP! I'm always excited for a new Melanie Harlow book, and this one is no exception! When I read the blurb, I just knew I had to read it!

The story is about Hannah, a grieving widow who lost his husband a year prior. It is set in present time, where Hannah met Wes, her husband's identical twin who just recently moved back to town. Hannah works at a bed and breakfast owned by the Valentini's in town, and Wes is just grieving for the loss of his twin brother. They both seek solace and companionship in each other, which turns out to be more for the two of them.. What started as very platonic and friendly, things heat up and Hannah is torn if it's because Wes looks like his brother, of altogether different because Wes and Drew is very different from each other.

Let me just say, I love Wes so much! I love what a great guy he is, even though I would consider him a beta-alpha. He gives her a choice and space, and is not demanding at all. I love Hannah for not rushing anything to be with Wes, because the circumstances would be weird and she would like to know if what they have is real.

I gotta be honest though, Wes' mother really bugs me! I hate how Wes doesn't stand up to her, but that just shows how good of a guy he is.

This book might not be my favorite out of all the Melanie Harlow books I've read, but it's still a great read for me. I recommend it for people who love to read angsty love story.

*4.5 out of 5 Stars*

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publishing Date: October 10th, 2017

It was like seeing a ghost.
When my late husband’s twin brother moves back to our small town, I want to avoid him. Everything about Wes reminds me of the man I lost and the life we’d planned together, and after eighteen long months struggling just to get out of bed, I’m finally doing okay. I have a new job, an amazing support group, and a beautiful five-year-old daughter to parent. I don’t want to go backward.
But I’m drawn to him, too. He understands my grief and anger and guilt like no one else—and I understand his. Before long, that understanding becomes desire, and that desire becomes uncontrollable.
He says he doesn't care what people think, and love can never be wrong. But life has taught me its cruelest lesson--love doesn't always win.
If only my heart would believe it.
