REVIEW: The Outpost by Devney Perry

OMG! OMG! OMG! Dare I say this...is probably THE BEST BOOK I HAVE READ THIS YEAR!

Another Devney Perry book, another one I devoured in one sitting and I. Just. Can't. Get. Enough! I love this book so so much I feel like reading it over and over again. It has everything I want in a book. Sweet, sexy, angsty, and a little bit of mystery. I love the hero and the heroine (!!!) and it's just the perfect book for me that I can't stop thinking about it even after reading a few books afterwards..

This is the fourth book in the Jamison Valley Series, and although you can read them separately as it's an interconnected stand-alones, I totally recommend reading it by the order so you get the full impact of the story. The story is about Sabrina, a reporter who went undercover to write an expose about a powerful mob family. Now, she is escaping to save her life and runs to her best friend's small town house in Prescott, Montana. In Montana, she is set to hide in a cabin under the protection of Beau Holt, the town's head of search and rescue team. Beau is... just swoony. Beau is a big, burly, bearded, protective guy and a true mountain man. Sabrina on the other hand is a city girl through and through. On paper, they have nothing in common. But their attraction is so palpable you can feel it just by reading about it.

Living together in isolated space, fighting their attraction towards each other is hard. But what's harder is the fact that both of them knows that it can't go anywhere, that the second Sabrina is safe she is going back to the city live she leaves behing, and Beau is a small-town guy who loves his life in Prescott. So will they finally give in, and if they do what happens when it's time to say goodbye?

I have to say, this is the book with the most angst out of all of the books in the series before. I love both Beau and Sabrina so much, and I just ADORE that freaking swoony epilogue I want more! More! I can't wait to see more of them in the next book of the series. I love how everything wraps up in the end. FAVORITE BOOK THIS YEAR!

Title: The Outpost
Author: Devney Perry
Genre: Contemporary Romance

About The Outpost:
Trapped in his tiny mountain cabin, she didn't expect to fall for his big heart.

Exposing a prominent criminal family with an investigative news report didn’t exactly work out the way Sabrina had hoped. Instead of basking in the glory of her article’s success, she’s on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she’s forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she’s secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn’t the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her.

Beau likes his life quiet and simple. Give him a peaceful day hiking in the woods with his dog, and he’s a happy man. He has no use for large crowds, noisy cities or dramatic women. So when a hotshot reporter rolls into town, dragging her big-time problems with her, he should have run for the hills. Instead, he volunteered to keep her safe. Bringing her into his world won’t be easy, but if he can convince her that Montana isn’t as terrifying as she believes, they might just be the perfect match.
