A Place in the Sun by R.S. Grey

OMG! What a funny, sweet, romantic, heartfelt story! I've never read anything from this author before, so when I read reviews I just wanted to try something new, fun, and funny but with a little bit more depth and emotional angst. This hit ALL those marks!

Georgie Archibald escaped her family (mainly, her mother's) expectation of her to marry and match-making so she flees the country to take a trip in Italy, specifically Vernazza, a picturesque beautiful village. She fainted after she got outside of her train and is rescued by two gentleman, one of whom she is attracted to. Gianluca is a very sweet, broken man that you just want to always root for. You know he's a great guy underneath the hurt, and Georgie's mission is to shake him out of his shell to eventually gain his affection.

This book is more of a slow-burn type of book. No insta-love whatsoever from both sides, but you get to feel their growth, care and affection toward each other subtly throughout the book and that's what makes it beautiful. Georgie truly is a very funny, smart, sassy character that's slightly dramatic at times but very hilarious. Gianluca is a warm character that is mysterious, silent, brooding, and broken you'll root for him to find happiness.

It was such an amazing read, I love how everything unfolded, the end, the epilogue, how everything turns out, it's just amazing! I totally recommend this book.
