This is the first book I've ever read from Lauren Runow, and I just stumbled upon this on a whim and decided I wanted something angsty to read so I just read it.
The story is about Lily and Trevin who met at 8 years old and have been best friends ever since. I really like their story, however sometimes I just don't see their connection so much that I can understand their pull toward each other. You know sometimes you read a book but don't really get them as a couple? This is one of those books for me.
This books tells a story that spans for more than 10 years so we get to see how Lily and Trevin has their struggle and denial towards each other, but at the end of the day I feel like they don't talk about much and just go straight to being together towards the end, then be apart again. I like Trevin, I really do, I just never understand how he can be away for so long and what is it he does to be a better man emotionally for her?
It's a good fast-paced read for me, not as angsty as I thought but overall it fills the need that I wanted at the day I read this book.
